Sports & Games
The coordination of all parts of the body is essential for normal and healthy growth. SVVHS believes that sport is the ideal way of releasing the energy creatively. It lays emphasis on sports activities for the overall physical development of the child. While games like Football, Cricket, Basketball and Volleyball help in toning the muscles of the limbs, games like Chess exercise the mental faculty. Karate classes are offered as training in self-defence and aerobic classes for physical workouts. An exclusive skating rink has been setup to provide training for young students.All in all physical fitness of the students is given due attention to and talents recognised and nurtured.
Every hour of the stay at SVVHS, is a new learning experience. While the academics, sports and cultural activities are aimed at the personality development of the students, activities in the premises like celebration of various festivals and occasions of national importance teach moral values and integrity.
Scouts & Guides
To inculcate discipline right from the childhood, activities like, NCC, Scouts and Guides are also included in the regimen that train the students to be prepared for serving the nation at times of need.
Yoga & Meditation
To keep the body fit and mind fresh and active, SVVHS has evolved several activities that provide a proper channel for creative thinking, act as a safety release for bottled up emotions, and inculcate positive attitudes. At SVVHS, a special regimen of yoga and meditation has been devised and made mandatory for students of all classes.
Music & Dance
School has well equipped music room and talented music teachers. Lessons in classical dance are another major extra-curricular activity for our children. On quite a few occasions our school has emerged as a champion in Dance competitions held both in twin cities. In fact, Our children have emerged winners at competitions held in other states as well in various Dance festivals.
Students are also encouraged to learn self defense training techniques in martial arts. Karate classes are offered as training in self-defence and aerobic classes for physical workouts. Several internal competitions are conducted to relax and hone their skills.
